Our new kitchen adjoins our market garden store and sits surrounded by fresh fruits and vegetables—many of which are harvested daily from Connings farm, just down the road. This unique supply chain allows us to offer the freshest, highest-quality ingredients in everything we serve.

As Baker / Prep Chef, you’ll be a key part of the busy kitchen, working under our Kitchen Manager, to produce a wide variety of products ranging from freshly baked bread for our café sandwiches to sauerkraut for our store shelves. You will be joining a small and highly engaged team, so it’s important you are a team player and are willing to pitch in when required.

This is a full time role, with hours rostered based on daily opening hours and business needs.

Weekend availability is essential – we operate 7 days a week, with high weekend demand.

• Assist in preparing, storing, baking and cooking high-quality and innovative dishes following recipes and portion guidelines

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure consistent food quality and presentation

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen

• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

• Has a proven track record in a similar role, to prep, bake and cook food to an industry leading standard

• Is flexible and willing to adapt to different tasks as needed

• Has strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
