As Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day heartbeat of the store. You’ll lead from the floor, set the tone, and ensure every part of the operation reflects Connings’ values — freshness, quality, value, and authenticity.
This is a full-on, visible leadership role. You’ll balance people leadership with strong operational control, keeping the store running smoothly from open to close while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

As Store Manager, you’ll be at the heart of everything that makes Connings great. You’ll plan, organise, and lead the day-to-day running of the store — ensuring we’ve got the right people, the right stock, and the right energy to deliver an exceptional experience for every customer.
This is a busy, full-on role that requires a balance of people leadership and operational excellence. You’ll be on the floor with your team, rolling up your sleeves, setting the pace, and bringing out the best in those around you.
This is a full time role, with hours rostered based on daily opening hours and business needs.
Weekend availability is essential – we operate 7 days a week, with high weekend demand.

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 30+ across produce, grocery, and retail operations.
Plan each day effectively — ensuring staff, stock, and the store itself are ready for success.
Manage rostering, timesheets, and workforce planning so the right people are in the right place at the right time.
Be actively involved in onboarding and training — helping team members thrive from day one.
Drive a positive, high-performing culture aligned with Connings’ values.
Oversee stock control, ordering, and presentation across the store, maintaining exceptional quality and freshness.
Manage health & safety and building maintenance, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.
Contribute to business goals through effective planning, problem-solving, and smart decision-making.

You’re a confident, people-focused leader who can inspire and organise a large team in a busy retail setting. You thrive under pressure, adapt easily to the changing needs of the store, and genuinely enjoy being part of the action — not just managing from the sidelines.
